Class Guidelines
- Please observe the following guidelines and procedures when in Spanish class:
-
- All policies in the Student Handbook will be followed. You will be referred to the office if you are in violation of school policy while in my classroom.
- Respect and courtesy are to be shown to your teacher and classmates at all times.
- Being absent or consistently tardy to class can affect your grade. Attendance will be checked daily. You must have an official note to return to class after an absence.
- If you come to class without an admit slip, you will be asked to go back to the office AND you will be marked tardy to class. Excessive tardies will result in an office referral.
- Bring with you each day the items you need for class: textbook, workbooks, pen, paper, and notebook.
- Enter and leave the classroom in an orderly manner.
- When the tardy bell rings, be in your seat with your materials ready to begin class. Also, remember the teacher, not the tone, dismisses class.
- Use your class time wisely. Working on other subjects should not be done during class. You are expected to be ON TASK when there is work to be done. Stay awake, sit up straight, be involved, and pay attention.
- You are expected to be here during the time you are assigned to this class. You have an hour for lunch to take care of all your personal matters.
- Before leaving each day, clean up around your desk and return any borrowed items to their proper places. Also, do not mark on the desks.
- Remain quiet during announcements.
- Do not tuck papers in your textbook. Keep all papers (graded or not) in a notebook and be WELL-ORGANIZED.
- Cheating will result in a zero for that assignment.
- Late work will not be accepted. You will not be allowed to go to your locker or to leave the room to retrieve your work. You will receive a ZERO for any assignment that is not turned in when it is called for.
- Extra credit is offered to all students equally. You will not be given individualized extra work simply because you are dissatisfied with your grade. I will provide ONE extra assignment per six weeks.
